Digital Decade Report recommendations are being implemented, Research Ministry says

A significant portion of the European Commission’s recommendations, outlined in the Digital Decade Report, has already been implemented, according to a statement by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.

The Ministry, which is headed by Deputy Minister Nicodemos Damianou (pictured above), noted that the report’s recommendations and findings are being carefully evaluated and that implementation efforts are continuing.

The report, published on 17 June, assesses the progress of EU Member States toward achieving the European Union’s 2030 Digital Decade targets. It examines four key pillars of the Digital Decade: digital infrastructure, digital skills, digitalisation of public services and digital transformation of businesses.

According to the Deputy Ministry, the Report acknowledges that Cyprus is on a positive trajectory toward meeting the targets of its national Digital Decade roadmap, with 77% of the milestones set for 2025 progressing according to schedule.

It also notes that the Ministry has already implemented a substantial portion of the European Commission’s recommendations.
