Forecast Trend Report by Period

Michael Saylor, co-founder and chairman of Strategy, posted another message suggesting the company may buy more Bitcoin. But Strategy has gone four straight weeks without adding to its holdings, and no new transaction has been confirmed.
The Block reported on July 26 that Saylor posted Strategy’s “StrategyTracker” chart on X and wrote, “We’re gonna need another color.” It was the fifth consecutive Sunday that he shared the chart since Strategy’s last disclosed Bitcoin purchase.
The chart shows Strategy has acquired a total of 843,775 BTC through 113 purchases. Those holdings are now worth about $54.4 billion, roughly $9.3 billion less than the company’s cumulative purchase cost of $63.69 billion, based on a July 20 filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
In the past, Saylor’s Sunday chart posts were often followed the next day by a disclosure of additional Bitcoin purchases. More recently, those posts have not necessarily led to a buy.
Strategy’s last Bitcoin purchase was made between June 15 and June 21. The company bought 520 BTC for $34.9 million at an average price of $67,068. Filings released on June 29, July 6, July 13 and July 20 showed no additional purchases.
More recently, Strategy has put in place a capital-management framework that goes beyond Bitcoin, including building dollar reserves, repurchasing shares and allowing for Bitcoin sales if needed. In its July 20 filing, the company said it sold $263.5 million of MSTR stock, lifting its dollar reserves to $3.225 billion.
The new framework, introduced at the end of June, also includes a $1 billion repurchase program for digital credit securities, a $1 billion common-stock buyback program and a BTC Monetization Program of as much as $1.25 billion.
Strategy is scheduled to report second-quarter earnings after the US market closes on July 30. Saylor did not explain his latest post, and the company has not officially confirmed whether it bought or sold Bitcoin this week.
