A line-up of international industry figures are backing the new MSc in International Music Business, which is designed to train the next generation of music executives in emerging international markets.
Launching in September 2026, the English-taught degree is the first programme of its kind in France. While similar degrees in the US and UK are focused on established domestic networks, this MSc is specifically designed to address the operational, technological and strategic needs of rapidly expanding markets such as LATAM, Asia, India, Africa and MENA.
Christian De Rosnay, founder of Etendard Management and manager of Grammy-winning duo Justice, and Alexandra Pilz Hayot, CEO of Savoir Faire and manager of Grammy-winning DJ Gesaffelstein, The Blaze and Myd, will serve as patrons for the new Master’s degree.
The degree is created in collaboration with one of France’s leading international business schools, Rennes School of Business, and EMIC (École de Management des Industries Créatives), the country’s leading management school for the creative industries.
Led by Nicolas Renault, former director of Load and distributed labels at Sony Music and a Rennes School of Business alumnus, the course delivers 200 hours of modules taught by a faculty of 11 executives who bring expertise from across streaming, live entertainment, major labels, music publishing and rights management.
This confirmed line-up includes Jean-Christophe Bourgeois, general manager at Sony Music Publishing France; Caroline Champarnaud, executive director international at SACEM; Anne Hindermeyer, former head of legal at Believe; and a special masterclass session from Antoine Monin, MD of Spotify for Western Europe.

This executive faculty is supported by a strategic advisory board of Marie-Anne Robert, managing director, Sony Music Entertainment France; Corinne Sadki, international development director at Centre national de la musique; and Morvan Boury, senior vice president, global business development & digital strategy, Sony Music Entertainment.
The academic semester in Rennes is followed by a professional internship semester, which can be completed anywhere in the world, allowing students to apply their training in the local music markets of their home regions.
Daniel Findikian, founder and director of EMIC, said: “With this incredible line-up of teaching staff, we are giving young talent from around the world direct access to the people shaping the market today, alongside the keys to building a lasting international career in the music business.”
Ljupka Naumovska (pictured), academic director of Masters programmes at Rennes School of Business, added: “This MSc has been designed to combine the academic rigour of an international business school with the nous of the music industry. It gives students a global strategic framework, while exposing them to the realities of streaming, rights management, live entertainment, artist development and international market expansion.
“By focusing on high-growth regions such as LATAM and Asia, the programme prepares graduates not only to enter the music business, but to help shape its next phase of development.”
