No fewer than nine ships have arrived at Lekki, Tincan and Apapa ports in Lagos, waiting to discharge petrol, bulk fertiliser, gasoline, aviation fuel and diesel.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication “Shipping Position” on Friday in Lagos.
The document stated that 35 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports from May 15 to May 22.
The NPA added that the expected ships contain buckwheat, containers, fresh fish, crude oil, bulk wheat, petrol, base oil, frozen fish, bitumen, bulk sugar, bulk gypsum, bulk salt, gasoline, diesel, general cargo and containers of different goods.
It stated that 20 other ships are at the ports discharging containers, petrol, aviation fuel, crude oil, trucks, diesel, cargo, bulk wheat, bulk urea, general cargo and bitumen.
