The New York Knicks dropped a Dragon Ball Z reference following Game 2’s 105-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night, which gave them a 2-0 lead in the series and has them one step closer to a title.
It’s hard to deny that the Knicks have entered Super Saiyan mode in these playoffs, winning 13 straight games. And now they head back to Madison Square Garden for Games 3-4 and the chance to pull off a sweep, at home, that would end a 53-year title drought.
The Spurs aren’t going to go down without a fight. But at the moment, the Knicks feel inevitable.
