La Trobe Financial plans commercial real estate fund launch for mid-year despite ASIC intervention


La Trobe Financial plans to offer its long-promised commercial real estate fund to retail investors and financial advisers by the middle of the year, with chief executive Chris Andrews saying inflows into its private credit products have been resilient in the face of global concerns over the sector’s health.

Since last July, the company has repeatedly told investors it would create a product to capitalise on what it called a “once-in-a-decade” opportunity in commercial real estate, but it has yet to take anything to market.
