The Ministry of Finance issued 7-year government bonds at a discount with an annual yield of 15.25% on Akchabar

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan held an auction to place 7-year government treasury bonds. Following the auction, the yield on the issue stood at 15.25% per annum.

According to the terms of the issue, the placement volume was announced at 1.35 billion KGS, but the actual amount of funds raised has not been disclosed.

The coupon rate on the bonds was set at 7%, while the final yield for investors turned out to be more than double that. This difference indicates that the securities were placed at a discount, which is consistent with the practice of previous auctions.

The bonds mature on April 13, 2033. Coupon payments are scheduled twice a year—in April and October.

As of now, the Ministry of Finance’s total debt on 7-year government securities is estimated at 61.6 billion KGS.
