DSP Mutual Fund hires sustainable investment head


Hardik Shah has joined India’s DSP Mutual Fund as head of sustainable investments. Shah, who has previously held roles at Sustainalytics, EY and MSCI, leaves his role as client director for sustainable investment consulting at Ogier. He has also stepped down as a member of the Singapore Stewardship Principles Steering Committee.

Swedish regulator Finansinspektionen has hired Emilia Högquist as its new head of sustainable finance. A career civil servant, Högquist has previously held roles across government and the Swedish central bank, most recently serving in a management position at the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise. Previous sustainable finance head Johanna Fager Wettergren left the regulator last year to join Swedbank as head of group sustainability.

Sara Åhlén Björk has joined Danske Bank as Nordic head of corporate and sustainability advisory. She has previously held roles at Nordea, Maersk and the Swedish central bank, and leaves her position as chief economist at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping where she has worked for three years.

Alfred Askeljung has been promoted to sustainability products and regulations lead at SEB Asset Management. Askeljung, who sits on CFA Society Sweden’s ESG committee, was previously a sustainability specialist, having joined from PwC in 2022.

Impax Asset Management has poached Magnus Kristensen from Federated Hermes to become its new head of Nordics. Kristensen worked for Federated Hermes for six years in an identical role, and has previously held roles at Jyske Bank, Nykredit Asset Management and Neuberger Berman.

Matteo Passero has been promoted to corporate governance lead at UBS Asset Management. Passero joined UBS in 2020 as an associate director in the stewardship team and was promoted to director last year. He has previously held roles at ISS and AKTIS.

Morningstar is hiring for an Americas director for sustainable finance.

The PRI is hiring a specialist for its net zero initiatives team, working with both the Net-Zero Asset Owners Alliance and Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative.

The Australian Sustainable Finance Institute is hiring for a policy officer to work across its policy and sustainable finance solutions.

The GRI has issued an open call for new members for its Global Sustainability Standards Board. The role will require a time commitment of roughly 140 hours a year.
