Mumbai, Consumer electronics retailer Vijay Sales has appointed Ranjit Satyanath as Chief Information Officer, strengthening its technology leadership as the company expands its retail network and omnichannel operations across India.
In his new role, Satyanath will lead Vijay Sales’ enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation and information technology operations. His responsibilities will include developing scalable digital systems, integrating online and physical retail channels and deploying technology to support the company’s continued growth.
He will also oversee the technology platforms supporting customer experience, inventory management, order fulfilment, retail operations and enterprise processes. His experience in implementing cloud infrastructure, enterprise resource planning systems, e-commerce platforms and order-management technology will support Vijay Sales’ omnichannel strategy.
Satyanath joins Vijay Sales from The Indian Hotels Company Limited, where he served as Senior Vice President – IT & Digital. At the hospitality company, he was associated with technology strategy and digital initiatives supporting its portfolio of hotel brands and customer-facing operations.
He has previously held technology leadership roles at Hippo Homes and Infiniti Retail Limited, which operates consumer electronics retailer Croma. During his tenure at Croma, Satyanath worked on the company’s digital and omnichannel transformation, including technology supporting e-commerce, store operations, customer engagement and order management.
His professional experience also includes roles at Crossword Bookstores and Shoppers Stop, where he developed expertise in retail technology and the integration of customer-facing and back-end systems.
Earlier in his career, Satyanath worked with ICICI Bank, Birla Technologies Limited, Asian Sky Shop, Primetime Media Services Limited and logistics company Elbee Express. His experience covers enterprise applications, digital commerce, cloud platforms, customer relationship management, analytics and technology-led business transformation.
Satyanath’s appointment comes as Indian electronics retailers strengthen their digital platforms and integrate store networks with online ordering, inventory visibility, delivery and after-sales services.
