This article first appeared on GuruFocus.

Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) shares jumped about 12% in early Wednesday trade after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter results and raised its full-year 2026 financial outlook.

Bloom Energy posted record quarterly revenue of $1.07 billion, topping analysts’ expectations of about $827 million. Adjusted earnings came in at $0.78 per diluted share, ahead of the consensus estimate of $0.41. Revenue climbed 165.5% year over year, driven by a 215.4% increase in product revenue to $935.4 million.

Bloom Energy also returned to profitability, reporting net income of $196.3 million, or $0.62 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $42.6 million a year earlier. Operating income improved to $182.2 million, while operating cash flow increased to $226.4 million. The company attributed the growth to continued demand from hyperscale cloud providers, AI laboratories, and colocation data center operators for its on-site power systems.

Bloom Energy now expects 2026 revenue of $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion, up from prior guidance of $3.4 billion to $3.8 billion. It also raised its adjusted earnings outlook to $2.55 to $2.85 per share from $1.85 to $2.25, while forecasting adjusted operating income of $800 million to $900 million.
