Scott Van Vliet has been named Chief Technology Officer of Xbox, where he will help shape the technology and platforms powering Microsoft’s gaming ecosystem. A lifelong gamer and longtime Xbox enthusiast, Van Vliet steps into the role after serving as Corporate Vice President of Azure OpenAI and AI Infrastructure at Microsoft, leading the company’s Azure OpenAI service as well as model training and inferencing platforms. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Amazon, and Relativity Space, overseeing large-scale engineering, AI, communications, and gaming-related initiatives.
Sarah Tuneberg – Chief Information Officer at the State of Colorado

Sarah Tuneberg will take over as Colorado’s Chief Information Officer and Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Information Technology. In the role, she will lead OIT’s efforts to modernize digital services, embed technology teams more closely with state agencies, and improve access to services such as benefits, unemployment insurance, and driver license renewals. Tuneberg currently serves as Deputy Executive Director for Digital & Delivery, where she helped advance the product-based approach behind initiatives including the myColorado app and the Colorado Energy Savings Navigator.
Paras Malhotra – Chief Information Security Officer at Starburst

Paras Malhotra has been named Chief Information Security Officer at Starburst, where he will lead information security, governance, risk and compliance, and product security across the company’s SaaS and on-premises offerings. He joins from Datadog, where he served as Senior Director of Information Security and led customer trust, risk management, security monitoring, and AI governance programs.
Cutter Brenton – Chief AI Officer at Tyto Athene

Cutter Brenton has joined Tyto Athene as Chief AI Officer, where he will lead the company’s artificial intelligence strategy and innovation efforts as it expands AI capabilities across its federal technology portfolio. He will also oversee Tyto’s TALON technology accelerator, helping develop mission-focused solutions for defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. Brenton brings more than 15 years of experience in defense AI and data programs, most recently serving as Vice President of Algorithmic Warfare at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led major initiatives supporting military operations, cyber missions, and autonomous systems.
Chad Ballard – Chief Information Officer at Northwest Bank

Northwest Bank has brought on Chad Ballard as Chief Information Officer, placing him in charge of the bank’s technology strategy and operations as it continues to invest in modernization and growth initiatives. Reporting to President and CEO Louis Torchio and serving on the executive leadership team, Ballard will lead efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and enhance the experience for customers and employees across the organization. He most recently served as CIO for Shared Services Operations at Wells Fargo, where he oversaw the development of a Know Your Customer platform and the deployment of AI agents to improve operational performance.
Brad Christ – Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at The University of Hawaiʻi System

Brad Christ has been appointed Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at the University of Hawaiʻi System, where he will oversee technology strategy, cloud modernization, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives across the university’s campuses. Previously the system’s Associate Vice President and Deputy CIO, Christ helped advance major technology projects, including the rollout of Microsoft 365 and expanded cloud services. He joined UH from Eastern Washington University, where he served as CIO for more than seven years.
Ashley Devoto – Chief Information Officer at the Department of the Air Force, Space Force

Ashley Devoto has joined the Department of the Air Force as Chief Information Officer, taking responsibility for the Air and Space Forces’ enterprise IT, data and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and business systems portfolios. She will oversee modernization efforts and approximately $17 billion in technology investments supporting more than 800,000 personnel worldwide. Devoto brings a blend of military and private-sector cybersecurity experience, most recently holding senior security leadership roles at Discount Tire and Booz Allen Hamilton after serving 15 years in the Air Force as a cyberspace operator.
Raj Singh – Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Diebold Nixdorf

Diebold Nixdorf has named Raj Singh Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, succeeding Teresa Ostapower, who is retiring after serving as CIO since 2021. Singh will lead the company’s global IT operations and cybersecurity strategy, reporting to President and CEO Octavio Marquez. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in technology and digital transformation across the financial services, automotive and energy sectors. Most recently, Singh served as Vice President and CIO at Visteon Corporation, where he led enterprise AI strategy, IT transformation, cloud initiatives and cybersecurity programs.
Paul Black – Chief Information Security Officer at Tanium

Paul Black has joined Tanium as Chief Information Security Officer, taking responsibility for the company’s global security program as it expands the use of AI across its operations and advances its customer-zero strategy. Black most recently served as CISO at Turing, where he led security efforts in an AI-focused environment. His background also includes senior security and technology leadership roles at Upwork, McKesson, PayPal, and J.P. Morgan.
Kader Sakkaria – Chief AI Officer at the State of Illinois

Kader Sakkaria has joined the Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology as the state’s first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, leading enterprise AI strategy and guiding the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across state government. He will oversee the newly established Office of the CAIO and help shape AI governance, policy, and implementation efforts. Sakkaria most recently served as Head of Global Data Technology at Arthur J. Gallagher, bringing experience in AI, data strategy, and enterprise technology transformation.
Kaiu Pettigrew – Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Pavilion Payments

Pavilion Payments has tapped Kaiu Pettigrew as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, putting her in charge of the company’s technology organization and efforts to better align its IT, risk, technology, and product teams. She will help guide continued investment in Pavilion’s platform and infrastructure as the gaming payments provider scales its operations. Pettigrew most recently held executive technology leadership roles at First Hawaiian Bank, where she oversaw enterprise technology, risk management, and IT infrastructure initiatives, bringing more than 25 years of experience across gaming, payments, and financial services.
Jake Tickle – Chief Technology Officer at Bandit Lites

Jake Tickle has been appointed Chief Technology Officer at Bandit Lites, where he will lead the company’s technical strategy, long-term planning, and innovation initiatives while overseeing efforts to enhance systems, workflows, and technical capabilities. A 20-year veteran of the entertainment lighting company, Tickle joined Bandit after beginning his career with Carnival Cruise Lines and has played a key role in evaluating emerging technologies and guiding equipment investment decisions across the business.
Manju Mudé – Chief Information Security Officer at U.S. Department of the Treasury

Manju Mudé has taken on the role of Chief Information Security Officer at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, bringing more than 25 years of cybersecurity leadership experience across the public and private sectors. She joins Treasury after serving as Global CISO at Oportun and previously held senior security leadership roles at Splunk, Yahoo, Apple, and Bank of America. Throughout her career, Mudé has led cyber risk, regulatory compliance, incident response, and security transformation initiatives, with extensive experience helping organizations strengthen resilience and navigate growth.
Jesse Hillman – Chief Information Officer at DC Water

Jesse Hillman will become Chief Information Officer at DC Water, where he will lead the utility’s technology strategy with a focus on system reliability, cybersecurity, and improving customer access to services. Hillman brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience, having led modernization initiatives, strengthened data security programs, and improved operational efficiency across large organizations.
Raj Jegannathan – Chief Technology Officer at ChronoScale

Raj Jegannathan has been appointed Chief Technology Officer at ChronoScale, where he will oversee platforms, engineering, infrastructure, enterprise AI, data, IT, and information security as the company expands its AI infrastructure platform. He joins after more than 13 years at Tesla, most recently serving as Vice President, where he led AI infrastructure, large-scale GPU and storage systems, information security, and enterprise technology initiatives.
Sahil Sagar – Chief Information and AI Officer at Greystone

Greystone has added Sahil Sagar as its first Chief Information and Artificial Intelligence Officer, a newly created role responsible for leading the commercial real estate finance firm’s technology organization and AI strategy. Reporting directly to CEO Steve Rosenberg, Sagar will oversee technology modernization efforts and the integration of artificial intelligence across the business. He joins from Citi, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of AI and Operational Platforms for its Services division, leading the development of applications and shared platforms supporting payments, trade, liquidity, and investor services operations.
Robert Mills – Chief Information Officer at Riverview Bank

Riverview Bank has named Robert Mills Chief Information Officer, where he will lead the bank’s technology strategy and support its ongoing digital and operational initiatives. Mills brings more than two decades of technology and leadership experience across banking, credit unions, and fintech. He most recently served as principal strategist at financial services consultancy Papilio Collective and previously held technology leadership roles at Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Alkami Technology, and CoreLogic.
Brittney Tierce – Chief Technology Officer at Visory Health

Brittney Tierce has been elevated to Chief Technology Officer, taking responsibility for Visory Health’s enterprise technology strategy, including security, AI innovation, and platform development. Previously Senior Vice President of Technology and Security, Tierce played a central role in building the company’s proprietary technology platform and will now oversee efforts to scale infrastructure and enhance the patient and pharmacy experience.
Shakeeb Akhter – Chief Digital Officer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has appointed Shakeeb Akhter as Chief Digital Officer, placing him in charge of the organization’s digital strategy and technology transformation efforts. He will lead an enterprise-wide approach to connecting clinical, research, and administrative functions through digital innovation, data, and artificial intelligence. Akhter joins from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital and Information Officer, leading initiatives spanning AI, cybersecurity, analytics, and digitally enabled care.
Michael D. Smith – Chief Technology Officer at the State of Nevada

Nevada has promoted Michael D. Smith to Chief Technology Officer, where he will work alongside Chief Information Officer Timothy Galluzi to advance the state’s technology strategy, including modernization efforts, operational improvements, and stronger coordination across executive branch agencies. Smith most recently served as Division Chief of Client Services within the Governor’s Office of Technology and brings a decade of experience in Nevada state government, including leadership roles at the Department of Administration and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Adam Dimopoulos – Chief Information Security Officer at Entrust

Adam Dimopoulos has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer at Entrust, where he will lead efforts to strengthen the company’s security posture, resilience, and customer trust while supporting secure innovation and business growth. Dimopoulos brings more than 20 years of experience in information security, identity, and risk management, most recently serving as Vice President of Information Security at Synchrony, where he led enterprise-wide identity security and Zero Trust transformation initiatives.
Keith Rivera – Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Nebraska Medicine

Keith Rivera is joining Nebraska Medicine as Vice President and Chief Information Officer, where he will oversee the health system’s technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives. Atlassian Williams F1 Team has brought on James Smith as Chief Information Officer, adding a technology leader with deep experience in artificial intelligence and data platforms. Smith will help drive the team’s technology strategy as it expands its use of data and AI to support performance on and off the track. He joins from Human Native AI, the startup he co-founded that was acquired by Cloudflare earlier this year, and previously spent a decade at Google and DeepMind leading large-scale product and platform initiatives.
Todd Bailey – Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General

Todd Bailey has been promoted to Chief Information Officer at the Office of Inspector General, where he will lead the organization’s enterprise IT strategy and operations. In the role, he will oversee efforts to advance the OIG’s technology mission, drawing on expertise in cybersecurity governance, IT program management, and IT operations. Bailey brings more than 15 years of IT security leadership experience spanning both federal agencies and private sector organizations.
Karen Higgins-Carter – Chief Information and Technology Officer at Kroll

Karen Higgins-Carter has been appointed Chief Information and Technology Officer at Kroll, where she will lead the firm’s technology strategy, platform modernization, infrastructure, and AI-driven innovation initiatives. Sean M. Moore has joined CBX Solutions as Chief Information Officer, where he will help lead the company’s growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, operational excellence, and the adoption of AI-driven solutions. Moore most recently served as Chief Information Officer at CJ Logistics America, overseeing technology initiatives across the logistics provider. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at RSM US and Implus.
John Rares Almasan – Senior Vice President, Chief Artificial Intelligence, Data and Infrastructure Officer at Banner Health

Banner Health has brought on Dr. John Rares Almasan as Senior Vice President, Chief Artificial Intelligence, Data and Infrastructure Officer, a newly created role focused on advancing the health system’s AI strategy and technology modernization efforts. He will oversee Banner’s technology infrastructure, data platforms, and artificial intelligence capabilities to support patient care, operational efficiency, and innovation across the organization. Dr. Almasan joins from TIAA, where he served as Global Head of AI and Emerging Technology, and previously led AI and cloud initiatives at McKinsey & Company.
David Catanoso – Executive Director and Chief Information Officer at the Defense Contract Management Agency

David Catanoso has been selected as Executive Director of the Defense Contract Management Agency’s Information Technology Directorate and Chief Information Officer. In the role, he will lead the agency’s IT modernization efforts, including initiatives focused on cybersecurity, automation, and emerging technologies such as AI. Catanoso brings more than 30 years of experience across information technology, operations, and customer service, most recently serving as strategic advisor for technology modernization to the assistant secretary and chief information officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Joe Procaccini – Chief Information Security Officer at Intentsify

Joe Procaccini has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer at Intentsify, where he will lead the company’s security strategy and programs as it expands its B2B data and go-to-market solutions business. A member of the organization since 2023, Procaccini brings more than 20 years of experience in IT management, risk management, and data security, with expertise spanning infrastructure, analytics, and compliance initiatives aligned with standards including GDPR, PCI DSS, and ISO/IEC 27001.
Barton Bullard – Chief Technology Officer at Source Logistics

Margaret Cartwright has been appointed Chief Information Officer at ACERTUS, where she will oversee the company’s technology strategy, including customer technologies, platform engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, AI, and digital initiatives. Cartwright brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology leadership experience and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Data Intelligence at US Foods. Shannon Smith – Chief Technology Officer at the City of Seattle

The City of Seattle has appointed Shannon Smith as Chief Technology Officer, bringing an experienced public-sector technology leader back to government after nearly two years in the private sector. Smith will lead Seattle’s technology organization, overseeing enterprise technology governance, workforce management, vendor partnerships and the city’s technology strategy. Most recently, Smith served as Director of Public Sector, County Government at CAI, where she advised cities and counties on technology strategy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and managed services initiatives. Prior to joining CAI, she spent more than a decade in public-sector technology leadership roles.
Imran Jalozie – Chief Information Officer at Arch Insurance North America

Arch Insurance North America has elevated Imran Jalozie to Chief Information Officer, entrusting him with leadership of the company’s IT infrastructure, technology delivery, platform modernization, and enterprise transformation initiatives. Jalozie joined Arch in 2022 as Vice President of IT Application Development and has served as Interim CIO since May 2025. He brings more than two decades of technology and leadership experience and will continue to help advance the insurer’s technology strategy.
Stefan Knighton – Chief Information and Artificial Intelligence Officer at Karman Space & Defense

Karman Space & Defense has named Stefan Knighton its first Chief Information and Artificial Intelligence Officer, a newly expanded role that combines oversight of the company’s technology infrastructure and AI strategy. Knighton will lead IT operations, AI governance, technology evaluation, and enterprise-wide implementation efforts, while overseeing the continued deployment of Karman’s unified business systems platform. Abe Hong – Chief Technology Officer at Massage Envy

Abe Hong has been appointed Chief Technology Officer at Massage Envy, where he will lead the company’s technology strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems to support franchise growth and enhance the member experience. Joe Giannetti – Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Lexitas

Lexitas has added Joe Giannetti as Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, giving him responsibility for the company’s technology operations, infrastructure, business systems, and cybersecurity programs. He will help scale internal platforms and support continued innovation across the litigation support services provider. Giannetti joins from Employ, where he led IT and security and oversaw the integration of four operating companies into a unified enterprise platform, following an earlier technology leadership role at Applied Systems.
Ed McGough – Chief Information Officer at Hadron

Hadron has named Ed McGough Chief Information Officer, tasking him with leading the company’s technology strategy as it expands its global specialty insurance platform. In the role, he will focus on scaling Hadron’s data architecture and advancing Collider, the company’s proprietary underwriting and portfolio management platform. McGough brings extensive insurance technology experience, most recently serving in CIO and CTO roles at AIG and insurtech firms, where he led large-scale data and technology initiatives across global insurance markets.
Scott West – Chief Information Officer at Pierce County, Washington

Pierce County has selected Scott West as Chief Information Officer, placing him in charge of the county’s Department of Information Technology and its efforts to advance cybersecurity, artificial intelligence initiatives, and modern technology services. West joins the county from the Washington Department of Ecology, where he served as CIO since 2022. He previously held technology leadership roles with the Washington Office of Financial Management, the Department of Enterprise Services, and Washington Technology Solutions.
Marshall Ramsey – Chief Information Officer at the City of San Antonio

Marshall Ramsey has joined the City of San Antonio as Chief Information Officer, where he will oversee the city’s technology strategy and digital services efforts in support of residents, employees, and municipal operations.
