Ukraine Raises Nearly UAH 2.3 Billion at Domestic Bond Auction | Ukraine news


Investors backed three hryvnia bond offerings, while the latest proceeds add to a wartime borrowing effort that has reached unprecedented levels.

At its latest auction for the sale of domestic government bonds, Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance raised nearly UAH 2.3 billion for the state budget.

The results of the domestic government bond auction were published on the Ministry of Finance’s Facebook page.

Nearly UAH 2.3 billion was raised for the state budget during today’s auction for the placement of domestic government bonds (DGBs).

Investors were offered hryvnia-denominated government bonds with three maturity terms and varying yields:

  • DGBs worth UAH 719.74 million maturing in one year, with an annual yield of 15.16%;
  • bonds worth UAH 575.81 million with a 1.7-year term, yielding 15.64% annually;
  • securities worth UAH 999.92 million maturing in 2.5 years, with an annual yield of 16.07%.

Raising funds through war bonds

Since the beginning of 2026, the state has raised more than UAH 319.06 billion through the placement of DGBs. Over the entire period of the full-scale war, the total amount raised has exceeded UAH 2.34 trillion.

Proceeds from war bonds are directed toward the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and supporting the state’s financial stability.

The National Bank also noted that from January through July 2026, the government raised more than UAH 312 billion at DGB sale and exchange auctions. During the period of martial law, this figure amounted to nearly UAH 1.77 trillion.
