The emerging markets ETF invests in companies that the index finds to promote human flourishing. IT screens and derives its investments from the Bloomberg Emerging Markets Large & Mid Cap universe. Specifically, it applies a “Human Dignity Score” based on freedom of expression and belief as well as freedom from religious persecution.
Furthermore, the index removes companies associated with seven specific controversial practices. Then, the remaining securities are weighted by market cap, removing the largest 150 stocks. The 100 securities with the highest quality scores are then selected for inclusion and weighted by market cap.

The fund is poised to hit its important three-year ETF milestone this October, potentially bringing fresh attention to its strategy. Reaching the three-year mark often opens the door to major brokerage platforms, putting funds like FTHF in front of a much wider audience of investors.
Taken together, the strategy can provide some helpful diversification away from U.S. concentration risk. As overexposure to the big AI hyperscalers heightens portfolios risk, investors may want to look beyond domestic markets. By combining an ex-U.S. focus and values-conscious screening, FTHF can play a useful and meaningful portfolio role.
