A spokesperson for M&G said: “We thank her for the leadership and dedication she has shown – we wish her the very best for the future.”
There is no direct replacement for Ross. However, M&G has hired Paul Haegy, a former managing director at Goldman Sachs who began his career at BNP Paribas. Haegy will be head of infrastructure debt and private placements for M&G’s £81 billion private markets business.
Two years ago, M&G hired Emmanuel Deblanc, the head of private markets at Allianz who became CIO of its private markets business. Deblanc previously worked in infrastructure and M&A at BNP Paribas and is thought to have briefly worked with Heagy during that time. In his new job, Heagy will report to James King, head of the private and structured credit platform. King has been at M&G for 23 years.
Insiders say there have been some other exits from M&G’s business since Deblanc’s arrival. They include head of portfolio management Scott Searle and Thierry Masson, the global head of ABF platform strategies.
