Nubra, May 07, 2026:
Following the order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nubra for monitoring and checking of essential commodities, a market inspection was conducted in Tehsil Diskit by the constituted committee comprising officials from the Revenue, Police, Food Safety and Supply Departments.
During the inspection, various shops and business establishments were checked for overcharging, sale of expired or sub standard items, and proper display of rate lists. The shopkeepers were directed to strictly adhere to the prescribed guidelines and maintain transparency in pricing.
The Administration informed that such market checking drives will continue on a regular basis to safeguard consumer interests and ensure fair trade practices across the district.
