Chou Joins CohnReznick as Asset Management & Financial Services Partner


CohnReznick, a professional services firm, added Jenn Chou as a partner in its asset management and financial services practice. Based in San Francisco, CA, Chou is an experienced tax executive with nearly two decades of experience in public accounting and asset management. Her practice focuses on serving clients in the venture capital, private equity​ and fund-of-funds sectors.

Chou joins CohnReznick from a global consulting firm, where, as managing director​​​ and partner for its alternative investment fund practice, she helped build and lead the growth, infrastructure and culture of its Silicon Valley office. While overseeing business development for the venture capital sector, she was instrumental in driving strategic expansion, process standardization and collaboration across multiple offices.

Chou’s extensive asset management experience includes handling complex fund operations, compliance and tax consulting for leading investment firms. Among the Northern California alternative investment fund community, Chou’s technical expertise, strategic vision and innovative mindset have earned her recognition as a leader in venture capital tax and fund management.

Chou’s prior experience also includes serving as a​ tax ​director for a Big Four firm, where she led venture capital business development and practice development efforts involving internal infrastructure, training, recruiting and technology standardization. Previously, she was a senior finance manager for a major Palo Alto-based venture capital firm and served the alternative investment fund industry as a tax manager with two Big Four firms.

A Certified Public Accountant, Chou earned a master of business taxation from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in public finance from National Chengchi University. She is fluent in spoken and written Chinese.
