Liquid Instruments Lands $12M in Funding to Expand Operations | Business | Jun 2024

SAN DIEGO, June 20, 2024 — Liquid Instruments, a provider of test and measurement solutions, has secured a $12 million funding round. The company plans to expand its presence in Australia with the addition of an office in Melbourne and by expanding its manufacturing operations within the country. Liquid Instruments plans to use the funds to scale manufacturing of its field-programmable gate array (FPGA)-based Moku devices and recruit talent in engineering and manufacturing.

The company also plans to expand its internship program, targeting students from Victoria (Australia) universities. According to Liquid Instruments co-founder and CEO Daniel Shaddock, the investment will also help the company forge collaborations with researchers from local institutions.

Liquid Instruments’ Moku platform uses FPGA technology to integrate a suite of test instruments like oscilloscopes and lock-in amplifiers into a single compact device. Last year, the company integrated the ChatGPT language model into the Moku family of devices.
