Since slotting into Scott Morrison’s safe Sydney seat of Cook in 2024, Simon Kennedy has impressed. Both on committees and attacking opponents on Sky News. The former McKinsey consultant was brought into Angus Taylor’s inner circle this year and named his finance spokesman.
The rising star is also quite the investor. Last week, Kennedy declared a financial interest in Fawkes Capital Management, a tiny Sydney macro hedge fund. It’s not only that Fawkes has the barest of information public that’s curious. But it appears to have one trade: War in Iran.
