The Department of the Air Force has appointed Ashley Devoto as Chief Information Officer to oversee the Department’s enterprise information technology, data and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and defense business systems portfolios, while helping guide approximately $17 billion in technology investments that support more than 800,000 Airmen, Guardians, civilians, and contractors worldwide.
Devoto brings more than 20 years of experience leading technology, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives across military, consulting, and industry organizations. She is also a 17-year veteran of the Air Force cyber community, having served as a cyberspace operations officer in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Prior to her appointment, Devoto served as Chief Information Security Officer at Discount Tire, where she led the company’s enterprise cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and resilience efforts. Earlier in her career, she held executive cybersecurity leadership positions at CISO Global and Booz Allen Hamilton, and also served in leadership roles at Bank of America, EY, Delta Risk, ExxonMobil, and the U.S. Air Force.
