Celebrate America’s 250th at Iola Car Show & Swap Meet


IOLA (WLUK) — Thousands of automotive enthusiasts are gathering in Iola for one of the nation’s top collector car events.

The 2026 Iola Car Show & Swap Meet kicked off Thursday and runs through Saturday.

This year’s event celebrates America’s 250th birthday.

More than 300 acres of show grounds will come alive with thousands of collector vehicles, celebrity appearances, special exhibits, live entertainment, activities, patriotic programming and more.

Some of the leading personalities from social media, Hollywood and the automotive world will be in Iola.

Social Media Headliners:

  • Derek Bieri of Vice Grip Garage. Bieri will spend the weekend working live on a patriotic 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 benefit build supporting the Cruise of Honor.
  • Shaun Umscheid, better known as the “What? Nooo Waaay!” guy. Fans will have the opportunity to meet with him throughout the weekend.

Hollywood Headliners:

  • One of the most anticipated appearances if Sung Kang, known for his role as ‘Han’ in the Fast & Furious franchise. The Iola Car Show has been selected as an official stop on the Drifter World Tour, supporting the upcoming release of Kang’s highly anticipated film, Drifter.
  • Television icons Patrick Duffy (Dallas, Man From Atlantis, Step by Step) and Linda Purl (Happy Days, Matlock, The Office) will also appear throughout the event.

Show cars and car corral participants can enter the car show grounds at 6 a.m. daily.

Spectator gates open at 7 a.m.
