iA Financial Group adds to seg-fund shelf

The firm has also added the Global Multisector Bond (Loomis Sayles), which is managed by Matthew Eagan, Brian Kennedy, and Elaine Stokes. With a flexible multi-sector approach that can adapt to a multitude of opportunities, the fund is offered exclusively by iA Financial Group as a segregated fund in Canada.

iA Financial Group is also offering two other new seg-fund options from Fidelity Investments. The Fidelity Global Innovators specialty equity fund, managed by award-winning portfolio manager Mark Schmehl, uses a thematic and high-growth style to target innovative companies that provide high return potential.

Meanwhile, the Fidelity Multi-Asset Innovation diversified fund, managed by Schmehl with Jeff Moore and Michael Plage, combines two strategies – 60% Fidelity Global Innovators/40% Fidelity Multi-Sector Bond Currency Neutral – that are likely to generate solid risk-adjusted returns irrespective of the market cycle.

“In these uncertain and volatile times, it is reassuring for investors to be able to count on segregated funds that provide, among other things, protection against market downturns, by guaranteeing 75% to 100% of the amounts invested at maturity or death,” Laflamme said.

The new funds are available in the Classic 75/75 and 75/100 series of the IAG Savings and Retirement Plan, as well as in My Education+.
