These parks across metro Atlanta will split millions in funding for improvements

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Many parks across metro Atlanta will see millions in funding to help with improvements.

Park Pride, an Atlanta-based nonprofit, will give $3.9 million for improvements to almost 40 parks across Atlanta and DeKalb County.

Each park will get different improvements, including pickleball courts, more playground equipment and better lighting.

The organization said the funding marks the biggest investment in its 35-year history.

Park Pride officials said approximately 50% of the funds will go to parks in historically disinvested communities.
