Sports stars will gather in Mississauga at Canada’s largest collectibles show

More than 30 celebrities from the sporting world will be in Mississauga over the next four days at the Sport Card Expo.

Former hockey stars Dave Keon, Darryl Sittler, Wendel Clark, Paul Henderson and Doug Gilmour will be in attendance, along with RJ Barrett of the Toronto Raptors and football legend Lawrence Taylor, who will be joining others as autograph guests that starts tomorrow (April 24) and runs through Sunday at the International Centre at 6900 Airport Road.

For old-time fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the appearance of Keon provides a rare opportunity to capture the signature of the person many consider as the team’s greatest player, as the reclusive star likes to stay close to his current warm climate home in Florida.

There are fees attached to all autographs.

But the expo is more than just autographs.

The largest show of its kind in Canada, the expo has been operating for four decades and will feature 200,000 sq-ft of space for more than 500 vendors selling sports collectibles and memorabilia. Several producers of memorabilia will also be on hand, showing their latest products.
