Mumbai: Sui-backed SocialFi platform RECRD has announced a partnership with Shemaroo Entertainment, aiming to enhance audience engagement through blockchain technology. This collaboration will transform Shemaroo’s extensive catalog of Bollywood movies and music into unique digital collectibles, providing fans with exclusive access to content and experiences related to their favorite films.
Under this partnership, Shemaroo Entertainment will launch a series of digital collectibles from its well-known Bollywood film library, including titles such as Jab We Met, Khakee, Golmaal Returns, and Masti. The initiative seeks to redefine user interaction with Bollywood content by introducing engage-and-earn opportunities via RECRD’s dynamic video responses feature, REBND (REBOUND).

Arghya Chakravarty, COO of Shemaroo Entertainment, commented, “Our partnership with RECRD marks a significant milestone as we become the first Indian media company to adopt this innovative platform. This collaboration allows us to connect audiences with their favorite films in exciting new ways, enhancing user engagement and content monetization.”
As part of the partnership, Shemaroo Entertainment will be onboarded as a Platinum Creator on RECRD’s platform, which operates on a tiered system offering varying levels of revenue share and benefits for creators.
Anoir Houmou, co-founder and CEO of RECRD, stated, “This strategic partnership with Shemaroo Entertainment positions us to bring some of Bollywood’s most-loved IPs to a global audience. By leveraging our REBND feature, we aim to facilitate dynamic interactions between creators and fans, reshaping how users engage with content.”
The integration of the Sui Blockchain is expected to enhance transparency and create a rewarding ecosystem for all participants. This partnership is anticipated to create a new framework for digital interaction in the entertainment industry, providing opportunities for content creators, brands, and advertisers to leverage blockchain technology for greater control over content distribution and revenue generation.
