Interactive Brokers boosts global footprint with Bursa Malaysia listed derivatives – The DESK

Interactive Brokers clients are now able to access listed derivatives on Bursa Malaysia.

Alongside global stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds and funds, clients will be able to trade Crude Palm Oil (FCPO) Futures and FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FKLI) Futures.

The FCPO contract provides a global price benchmark for the crude palm oil market, while the FKLI contract grants exposure to underlying constituents of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index.

The company has indicated its intention to add further Bursa Malaysia products to its offering in the future.

David Friedland, head of APAC at Interactive Brokers, commented: “The introduction of Bursa Malaysia listed derivatives underscores our commitment to expanding the breadth of products available on our platform. Interactive Brokers clients worldwide can trade on over 150 markets using a broad array of tradable instruments, and we are pleased to add these new products to further improve our clients’ trading opportunities and strategies.”
