US President Donald Trump in March purchased bonds worth at least $51 million. This is evidenced by financial disclosures published by the US Office of Government Ethics, Reuters reports, UNN writes.

Details

According to the documents, Trump conducted 175 financial transactions. The reports list not exact amounts, but value ranges for each transaction.

The bulk of the assets consists of municipal bonds issued by states, counties, and other government or public-private entities.

The largest 26 deals, each in the range of $1 to $5 million, primarily involved municipal and US Treasury bonds.

Other assets

In addition, Trump invested in corporate bonds of companies in the energy, technology, financial, and defense sectors, as well as in an exchange-traded fund linked to the high-yield bond market.

The aggregate maximum value of the acquired assets is estimated to reach about $161 million.
