Jupiter prepares emerging markets and global ex-US active ETFs to extend reach of its Origin arm

Jupiter Asset Management plans to launch two active ETFs investing in emerging markets and global equities outside the US for its Origin investment arm.

The UK fund manager has filed the Jupiter Origin Global Emerging Markets Active Equity and Jupiter Origin Global Ex-US Active Equity UCITS ETFs with the Central Bank of Ireland.

The emerging markets ETF looks likely to be a mirror of the £57.5m Jupiter Origin Global Emerging Markets Fund. Managed by Chris Carter, Tarlock Randhawa and Nerys Weir, the open-ended mutual fund uses quantitative and qualitative analysis to aim to beat the MSCI Emerging Markets index over three-year rolling periods.

The ex-US fund will follow similar offerings from JP Morgan and Dimensional which respond to growing investor wariness about the high valuations of the tech-led US stock market.

The launches will be in partnership with white-label provider HANetf. They will be the second and third equity ETFs since Jupiter unveiled the Jupiter Origin Global Smaller Companies Active UCITS ETF in November 2025. It has grown to £15m.

Jupiter bought the London-based boutique Origin in 2024. It entered the active ETF market earlier the following year with the launch of the Jupiter Global Government Bond Active UCITS ETF (GOVE). It has amassed £15m.
