Treasury secretary says he’s ‘not at all’ worried amid stock market sell-off


Right now, investors are navigating a new era for the American economy.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Sunday said he’s not worried because stock market corrections are healthy and normal, adding that there will be a transition period as the Trump administration tries to gain control of these large government deficits, which are now 6.7% of GDP, or gross domestic product.

“Donald Trump seems to know what he’s doing,” Armstrong Williams, who is known as a “Washington insider,” told The National News Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat during a one-on-one interview Monday.
