Mayo are All-Ireland champions.

75 years – and 11 lost All-Irelands finals – since lifting Sam Maguire in 1951, Mayo are did the seemingly-impossible with a famous victory against a much-fancied Kerry side.
No one gave Mayo much of a chance but they delivered a performance of chaos and incredible desire, and Kerry simply could not live with it.

Andy Moran on Mayo’s win
Unsurprisingly Mayo manager Andy Moran was in brilliant form after the game. He singled out the scores from Jack Carney and David McBrien in giving his side confidence after a rocky start.
“Jack Carney’s two pointer was massive. McBrien came out and showed huge leadership. I think it’s his first point in the championship. Like that’s leadership. I thought he was sensational.”
“I just thought that was the best game he has ever played in a Mayo jersey. He’s had a great year but today he was just brilliant and then Jack to kick the two-pointer and then all of a sudden it took off. Ryan got a two-pointer and all of a sudden we’re at five points instead of one and the game is on.”
“It’s amazing. We took a heavy hit at the start of the season and I’m kind of half sick talking about it. I thought we had a really good chance coming in to be honest.
“We were in such a good place going into the game and it started a bit shaky no doubt about it but I thought for the next 40 minutes of that game, from about the 18th minute on, we were sensational.”
