Mustang and Baxter have risen to the top, showing clear demand centered on premium brands
In the used car trading platform ‘KB Cha Cha Cha Cha’ operated by KB Capital, it was found that the sales of convertible used cars were formed around sports and luxury brands.
According to KB Capital on the 2nd, an analysis of convertible used cars sold by KB Motor for a year from March last year to February this year showed that BMW 4 Series convertible topped the sales volume.
It was followed by Ford Mustang Convertible, followed by Mini Cooper Convertible and Porsche Boxter, which tied for third. Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet and Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet were then ranked 4th and 5th, respectively. Overall, it is characterized by clear demand for premium brands and sports cars.
In terms of interest by age group, the characteristics of each vehicle type were also revealed. BMW 4 Series Convertible, which took the top spot, had the highest proportion of people in their 40s with 26.8%, followed by those in their 20s with 25.2%. The second-place Ford Mustang Convertible had the highest proportion of people in their 20s at 36.7%, showing a remarkable preference for young people.
Mini Cooper Convertible, which is tied for third, had a relatively high proportion of female views at 27.7%, and Porsche Boxster also had 27.4% of the respondents in their 20s, which led to the interest of young people. Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet had the highest proportion of 41.9 percent in their 40s, while Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet had 30.2 percent in their 20s.
