A meeting at Dhamar University, chaired by Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Daïs, discussed strengthening academic, research, and administrative performance, and enhancing the university’s role in community service.
The meeting, attended by the university president, ministry officials, deans, and academic leaders, reviewed efforts to develop academic programs, improve educational quality, and address infrastructure and technical equipment needs. It also emphasized expanding partnerships with community institutions and supporting local development.
The Deputy Minister praised the university’s progress and stressed the importance of continued institutional development and strategic planning. The University President reaffirmed ongoing efforts to advance academic and research programs despite challenges.
The meeting also highlighted recent achievements and the need to improve services for students and researchers, stressing stronger coordination between the ministry and the university.
Later, the Deputy Minister and the University President inspected the College of Computer and Information Technology, reviewing its modern laboratories and technical facilities. He praised the college’s development in digital and cybersecurity fields, describing it as an investment in national skills and future readiness.
They also attended the opening of a training course at the Faculty of Medical Sciences on “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Disaster Management,” aimed at improving students’ practical skills and emergency response capabilities.
